pastor counseling someone in need

Bachelor of Arts

Health care facilities, social service organizations, correctional institutions, church ministries, and residential care facilities often employ Pastoral Counselors to provide psychological and spiritual guidance to patients/clients and their families. With a strong psychology and theology background, Christian pastoral counselors integrate the best of clinical mental health care practice with the wisdom of Christian spirituality and theology.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Theology or Psychology degree with a Pre-Pastoral Counseling concentration, Lourdes students work closely with their advisor throughout their undergraduate studies. Upon graduation, Lourdes alumni are prepared to pursue a Master of Divinity or MA in Pastoral Counseling degree from an accredited institution.
