Research & Scholar Symposium

Instructions for Poster Presenters

  1. Arrive between 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. to set up your poster.
  2. Sign in at the registration table and pick up your registration packet that contains your name tag, a survey, and certificate of participation.
  3. Staff at the registration table will direct you to where you may set up your poster.
  4. Students should remain by their posters in order to discuss their research with guests who are attending the symposium.  We also encourage you to attend the oral presentations and to visit other poster presentations at your convenience.
  5. If you must leave the symposium before it ends, please remove your poster from the table and take it with you.
  6. Complete the Student Researcher Survey included in your packet and return it to the box on the registration table before you leave the symposium.

Instructions for Oral Presenters

  1. The Presenter must contact the Research & Scholarship Symposium Coordinator to reserve a time for your presentation.  Please send your request to: researchsymposium@lourdes.edu no later than Monday, April 3, 2017.  If you do not request a time by the deadline, one will be assigned to you. You will receive a confirmation of your time and room location by email prior to the symposium.
  2. There will be a computer with a projector in the room assigned to you for your presentation.  If you requested internet access and/or sound on your application, those feature(s) will be available.   Be sure to have your presentation saved to a flash drive so you can load it on the computer.
  3. Sign in at the registration table and pick up your registration packet that contains your name tag, a survey, and certificate of participation.
  4. We encourage you to attend other oral presentations and to visit the poster presentations at your convenience.
  5. Complete the Student Researcher Survey included in your packet and return it to the box on the registration table before you leave the symposium.

You are expected to set up your presentation, as well as take audience questions, within the 30-minute allotment. Since presentations are scheduled back-to-back, it is important that you do not go over 30 minutes.
