Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement Graduate Certificate Program for Educators

This endorsement will enable Early Childhood (Pre-K through Grade 3) licensed teachers to meet the requirements necessary to additionally teach Grades 4 and 5. The endorsement may only be added to an Early Childhood License.
Teachers successfully completing the coursework (9 credit hours) will be eligible to sit for the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) Elementary Education Exam (018/019) with a score of 220 or better on each section.
Students must also complete a field experience which may include but is not limited to: summer camps, after school programs, summer school, tutoring, substitute teaching in grades 4 and 5.

P-12 Reading Endorsement Graduate Certificate Program for Educators
Applications for the Lourdes Reading Endorsement are currently being accepted for Spring 2020 and Fall 2020. Spring classes begin the week of January 13, 2020, fall classes begin the week of August 24, 2020.

Designed for teachers wishing to help prepare students for state reading exams and to become better readers in general. The program fits the needs of those candidates wanting to enhance their skills as or to become a reading teacher able to teach all grade levels.
Preparing teachers to sit for the OAE exam, the endorsement is offered as a 15 credit hour standalone endorsement or it can be combined with the Master of Education degree. Once the reading endorsement is completed, and the OAE exam is passed, the endorsement may be added to the teacher’s license. The full master’s degree is only 18 additional credit hours to completion.
