ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Nurse Educator

MSN Nurse Educator and Leader Programs Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • Successful completion of undergraduate statistics and research course content
  • Request official college transcripts and have them sent to the Graduate Admissions Office
  • Complete and submit the Graduate Application for Admission
  • Submit proof of a valid license as a registered nurse or intent to complete licensure within 2 semesters
  • Provide the names and email addresses for three professional references
  • Complete a satisfactory interview with the MSN Director
  • Submit a current curriculum vitae or resume
  • Submit a statement of purpose (250 words)


RN to MSN

RN to MSN Nurse Educator and Leader Programs Admission Requirements

Admission into the RN to MSN option is a two-step process. Students are admitted into the Pre-RN to MSN portion of the program in which they can complete the undergraduate bridge courses.  Admission into the MSN program is granted after all Pre-RN to MSN bridge courses are successfully completed with a 3.0 or better GPA.

  • Graduate of a CNEA or ACEN accredited associate degree or diploma program in nursing. An applicant from an associate degree or diploma program in nursing that is not accredited by CNEA or ACEN may be conditionally admitted to the R.N. to M.S.N. program.
  • Proof of a valid license as a registered nurse or intent to complete licensure within 2 semesters.
  • Minimum undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75.
  • Request official college transcripts and have them sent to the Graduate Admissions Office
  • Complete and submit the Graduate Application for Admission
  • Provide the names and contact information email addresses for three professional references
