As I enter the third year of my presidency, every day I am more thankful for the amazing students, faculty, staff and Board of Trustees we have in our Lourdes community. In the following pages, you will have the opportunity to hear the stories of alumni/ae who are demonstrating the quality of their Lourdes education in their professional and personal lives.
It is a joy to highlight the innovative work of our faculty and staff. The University continues to be committed to designing majors and academic programs which best meet the needs of our students and the workforce. We are pleased to share our first professional doctoral program, the Doctor of Nursing Practice. Lourdes has also received approval from our accreditors to offer any major or graduate program in an online format. A new graduate program in Special Education is now available to meet the needs of regional public and private schools.
As always, our academic leadership team continues to explore every opportunity to keep study at Lourdes affordable and accessible. We remain dedicated to enrolling students who can benefit from study at the University while assuring that they graduate with workforce readiness. I am pleased to welcome Dr. Terry Keller, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Ms. Vicki Stouffer, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. The University and our students will benefit from their expertise.
This fall, the newest inaugural teams – men’s and women’s bowling – have come to campus ready to begin their studies and proudly represent the Gray Wolves. Our new athletic director Ms. Janet Eaton is passionate about having our student-athletes have the best possible academic and athletic experience.
Please come to Lourdes whenever you can. Take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the campus or allow yourself a peaceful reflection in the Portiuncula. You are always welcome to support our Gray Wolves teams, hear a chorale performance, see an art exhibit or benefit from a stimulating lecture.
I hope to see everyone – alumni/ae, friends, and parents – at homecoming October 12-14 as together we “Let the Good Times Roll!”
