Dear Lourdes Family,

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as Interim President. Our University continues to serve the community in many different ways, and our focus remains on student success. The student experience in higher education has changed significantly over the last two years. We are learning right alongside our students to adjust and meet the changing demands. My goal remains to listen to the community and create opportunities to build and sustain change.

Our faculty, staff and students are an energizing force here on campus. We have launched “Franciscan Fridays” to come together and enjoy one another’s company through creative activities and events. “Fantastic Franciscans” is another new initiative that allows individuals on and off campus to recognize and thank someone for a job well done, using a simple online form. I have also started a Twitter account @LU_InterimPres to share community updates about what’s happening.

Lourdes students enter the workforce as critical thinkers who continue to challenge the status quo and help move the greater community forward. The new Exercise Science lab and Nursing simulation lab are exciting additions for our students. These state-of-the-art facilities allow students a hands-on experience that will prepare them to enter their careers prepared to make a difference on day one. I hope you enjoy reading about these labs and other exciting happenings in this issue.

The future of our University is bright because of your investment and involvement. I invite you to visit our campus and experience the Lourdes difference.

Go Gray Wolves!!

Terry Keller, Ph.D.

Interim President
