Young Alumni Leaders
The Lourdes Institutional Advancement team are pleased to share a newly established group, the Young Alumni Leaders.
Aaron Iffland, ’18, one of the founding members, shares the group’s goal and next steps.
In 2018, the Lourdes Society was founded as a major giving program that provides key resources to students. The Young Alumni Leaders want to enable Lourdes students to succeed in the classroom and minimize student debt by funding key initiatives including:
- Scholarships
- Academic Success Center
- Student Emergency Fund
We invite recent alumni graduating within the last 10 years (2011-2021) to join the Lourdes Society at a discounted rate in order to engage with top donors, receive invaluable career advice from community leaders and attend events that will build career networks.
Membership is based on the number of years out of college and reduces the admission cost to a fraction of the standard $1000 to join. This tiering program allows alumni to fully enter the Lourdes Society at a greatly reduced rate and increases to the standard minimum donation in manageable stair steps. Donations can be made on a one-time basis, or in monthly or quarterly installments. We hope you consider engaging with the Young Alumni Leaders as it seeks to provide tremendous value by offering dual-membership within the Lourdes Society and the Young Alumni Leaders group.
As a founding member of the Young Alumni Leaders, I have joined my colleagues to create this professional community for alumni to strategically transition into the next generation of community leaders. Realizing the value of building a professional network, we are investing our time and resources into the Lourdes community as a springboard to share, collaborate and advance together for years after graduation.
