COVID-19 Resources – Students & Families
During the coronavirus pandemic, please utilize the resources and information provided on this web page to ensure a successful start to the Fall 2020 semester. Together, Lourdes University is a community committed to the health and wellbeing for all. Individually and collectively as a University community, we will do our part in ensuring a coronavirus-safe environment for students, employees, families and guests.
To ensure a safe and hassle-free move onto campus, Lourdes University is welcoming students over several days. We will spread out the check-in times for the new and returning students to ensure they have a safe and relaxed experience. Residence staff will provide pre-arrival information and be available to help with check in. For health reasons, all students and families are asked to unload their personal belongings without assistance from staff, orientation leaders or resident assistants.
If Lourdes students or family members have questions or concerns, please contact the Vice President of Student Affairs / Dean of Students Greg Kneser at email@example.com.
New Student Orientation was planned in compliance with meeting guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Health.
Fall 2020 Classes
University faculty and staff were pleased to welcome returning and new students to campus. A majority of courses this fall are offered in face-to-face and hybrid formats with appropriate physical distancing. Courses may also be delivered online as reflected in the course schedule. Depending on a resurgence of the virus, professors are prepared to switch to increasing online study if dictated by public health guidelines and careful attention to the wellbeing of our students and faculty.
Throughout the semester, students should be prepared for sudden adjustments in instructional formats in the event there is a resurgence of the virus. Communication will be done through campus e-mails and RAVE – the Lourdes Alert Text Message System. To opt in to the text messaging system and to learn more about the RAVE System, visit https://www.lourdes.edu/campus-life/public-safety/lourdes-alert-system/.
