Pensacola, FL: Habitat March 1 Update

Today was our first day on the worksite! We worked along side two habitat team leaders and two experienced volunteers. Many nails were hammered in by the Lourdes Team. Many blisters and sore arms have been reported. Tim (LU), Jacob (LU), Wayne (Habitat) and Marne (Habitat) were able to completely enclose the roof with plywood.

After the end of the work day the Habitat team unwinded by laying in the sunny Florida weather, climbing the second oldest oak tree in Florida,  and bonding through a particularly fantastic reflection which might or might not have been organized but the authors of this blog. We look forward to a week full of moments that will become cherished memories when we return to Lourdes!
