The 2017 Lourdes University Habitat Team is on the road and heading to Lucedale, MS!

Even the brisk temperatures in the 20s (what happened to the 60°temperatures from earlier this week?!) couldn’t put a chill on the smiles and the excitement.

These students, faculty and staff continue a 21-year tradition started in the 1990s by members of L.I.N.K. (the Campus Ministry student organization) who were looking for a way to share their gifts with the broader community.

This year’s team includes:

  • English major Stephen Carl of Anderson, IN
  • Psychology major Ashley Erd of Toledo, OH
  • Sociology major Monaye Jackson of Toledo, OH
  • Early Childhood Education major Kylie Kerner of Toledo, OH
  • Early Childhood Education major Sabrina Kosier of Swanton, OH
  • Early Childhood Education major Abby Miller of Galena, OH
  • Social Work major Asia Moore of Toledo, OH
  • Biology major Halee Roberts of Toledo, OH
  • Adolescence to Young Adult Education major Kaitlin Schroeder of Leipsic, OH
  • Early Childhood Education major Cassidy Smith of Berkey, OH
  • Social Work major Anna Swartz of Oak Harbor, OH
  • Sociology and Social Work major Joseph Walker of Toledo, OH

Also on the team are:

  • Campus Minister and alumna Laureen Knueven
  • Alumnus Tim Broud
  • Assistant Professor of History Dwayne Beggs, Ph.D.

Students will be posting their reflections throughout the week, so stay tuned to this spot.
