Communication and Media Studies

Minor

Students interested in various careers will benefit from the Communication and Media Studies minor, which provides a solid foundation in many aspects of communications, digital humanities, and social media studies.

In the Communication and Media Studies minor, students master fundamental communication skills applicable to technical and professional writing and media studies. They learn to recognize cultural, professional, and ethical conventions in various media and apply sound methods of rhetoric and communication in multiple disciplinary contexts.

The multidisciplinary minor complements several majors, and students can apply the skills they learn in many fields, including English, business, art, marketing, political science, and public health.
