Legislative Gerrymandering Panel
Everyone is welcome, public included.
This is a Criminal and Social Justice/LWV/DEI event on February 8 about gerrymandering voting districts. This issue is relevant to every academic discipline, teaching content, higher education, and virtually every other topic as there are laws related to everything. The laws are made by politicians who have drawn the gerrymandered districts which in turn results in our input and vote becoming meaningless to politicians who can guarantee they will win time and time again. This isn’t a party issue as both parties do this when they are in power. This panel will discuss how it impacts our vote and what we can do to change it.
