The Lourdes University College of Nursing will offer the White Coat Ceremony to first year nursing students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and students in the direct entry to the Master of Science in Nursing program on Monday, August 22 at 4:30 pm in the Franciscan Center. The Oath, Cloaking and Pinning will take place during the ceremony.

Guest Speakers include alumna Dacia Neal, MHA, BSN, RN and Deb Bryant, DNP, RN.

A White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage intended for first year students in medical, nursing and physician assistant programs. It serves to welcome students to healthcare practice and elevate the value of humanism as the core of healthcare. The ceremony provides a powerful emphasis on compassion in combination with scientific excellence.

The event is free and open to the public.
