Adel Almasarwah is an assistant professor of accounting at the Lourdes University/College of Business and Leadership and joined the faculty in 2021. He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Loughborough University.

He has professional experience working as a financial manager, a senior audit associate, and a tax associate. Almasarwah has experience teaching graduate and undergraduate accounting courses, both in-class and online formats. His professional and academic experiences were in the US, Canada, UK, Jordan, Kuwait, and India. He has also designed and instructed lectures on government accounting and audit data analytics in the Middle East and GCC.

Dr. Almasarwah’s research examines several areas such as earnings management, corporate governance, audit, IFRS & GAAP, and stock price.

He has served on several conference and workshop program committees and served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Furthermore, he is skilled in Lecturing, Management, Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis, and Strategic Planning. Dr. Almasarwah has published high peer papers with emerald, Inderscience, and business prospectives publishers.

In 2020, Dr. Almasarwah received Emerald Literati Award. In Addition, he has currently occupied an editorial position at the International Journal of Business and emerging markets.
