With more than thirty five years of diversified international executive experience while working for global market leaders such as IBM, Owens-Illinois, Libbey Inc., SSOE and Corelle Brands, Professor Bernard Barrow brings a wealth of business expertise across a broad range of functional areas:
- CFO leadership positions while living and working for more than six years in Belgium, Canada and Switzerland. In addition, Bernard has worked in Korea, China, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, France, the UK, Germany, Portugal, and the Netherlands … and he is fluent in French.
- As a result of leading the highly successful development and implementation team for a key supply chain corporate project while at Libbey Inc., IBM invited Bernard to speak at their Global Manufacturing Symposium in Orlando.
- While at IBM, Bernard was a key member of the Belgium/Luxembourg Sales Team of the Month and won the Global Services Americas Team Work award as part of an Information Technology Services Americas Leadership team.
- He garnered operating business unit executive experience as General Manager of Libbey Inc.’s Factory Outlet business, increasing the economic value add of 38 table glassware stores across the US, including the opening of Libbey’s flagship store in downtown Toledo.
- Bernard earned his BBA and MBA from the University of Toledo and serves on the University Of Toledo Alumni Association Board Of Trustees Finance Committee.
- He teaches International Business and Financial Management at the University of Toledo and Lourdes University and provides “C” level management consulting.
