With a successful career spanning both private and public higher education institutions, Greg Kneser is a proven leader. As Interim Vice President of Student Affairs at Lourdes University, he is responsible for a full suite of student affairs services including housing, conduct, campus safety, health and wellness, and athletics.

Working collaboratively at all levels, Greg encourages a culture of autonomy and open communication. Passionate about empowering others, he leads by example and fosters student retention. Greg joins Lourdes from St. Olaf College where he served several years in various leadership roles including Vice President for Student Life. His resume also includes student life positions at Quincy University, Marian University and the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.

Greg earned a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Truman State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He has completed Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), Title IX training, Harvard University’s Institute for Education Management and Management Development Program, FEMA Emergency Management coursework, and Incident Command courses.

Active in his community, Greg is a Board Member and President of the Northfield Historical Society and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board, College of Letters and Science, at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. A 4H educator, he also volunteers as a Meals on Wheels driver and has been active in the Northfield Council of Champions and the Downtown Development Corporation.
