Dr. Beutel has taught at Lourdes University for twelve years. Currently serving as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, she chaired the English department for seven years. A 2016 recipient of Lourdes’ Faculty Excellence Award, Dr. Beutel has taught a wide variety of English and interdisciplinary courses at Lourdes. Her scholarship focuses on contemporary American literature. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Beutel received an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from The Ohio State University and a B.A. in English from The University of Dayton.
