Melanie Mays has been teaching at universities over the past eight years, including Mount Saint Mary’s University. She has taught almost every kind of Marketing-related courses in both online and offline course structures. Her proficiency in Blackboard, WebCT, Moodle, Angel and Canvas online platforms, has afforded her the opportunities to develop hybrid and online courses for this institution. She is certified in online course design and education.

Melanie spent twenty years developing a broad range of skills building up the Marketing departments for small, medium & Fortune 100 companies in Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer & Business-to-Government markets and was most recently the Executive Director of Global Marketing and Lead Business expert for the Mergers and Acquisitions team with a $500M medical device manufacturer. In 2001, Melanie founded Melanie Mays Design, targeting start-up and small business operations in the Southern California area. She developed first website in 1997 – the explosion year of e-Commerce in the US.

A published author of business articles, Melanie  has developed several courses and programs for academic institutions in the field of eBusiness and Entrepreneurship. She currently owns a strategic business consulting firm that includes brand strategy and digital solutions for medical device and technology companies and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Southern California.
