This year's pilgrims won't have to walk from Rome to Assisi but they will have an opportunity to walk many miles exploring the city that was home to St. Francis and St. Clare.

Thanks to the many students who showed interest and took the time to apply for the AFCU Pilgrimage to Assisi and Rome for Students. The selection process becomes more difficult because students are more involved in and out of the classroom in reflecting our Franciscan values of community, learning, reverence and service.

This year's pilgrims, Katie Goliver and Steve Sczesny, will begin their travels on December 27 and return on January 6, 2014. They are both excited about expanding their understanding of our Franciscan heritage, meeting students from other Franciscan colleges and universities and walking where Francis and Clare walked.

Congratulate them and help them stay grounded as they finish the semester before this special journey.
