Last day in Firenze! We visited the Pitti Palace of the Medici. Ironically, the throne room also included Christ on His throne, quite a statement of affinity. We walked through more than 50 some rooms stuffed floor to ceiling with Rubens, Titians, Tintorettos, and painted ceilings. We then raced to the Accademia dell' Arte. We shivered in the presence of Michelangelo's David. But then we found Taddeo Gaddi's conformities of Christ and San Francesco altarpiece. No matter where we have gone, there we have found St. Francis and St. Clare. We also visited the Sala di Giotto where they discussed the frescos upon we received a lecture in Assisi.

We pack for Venice tonight.
