Offered during the 2014 summer session, the Ireland Program in its second year allows up to 15 students to travel to Tullycross, Ireland, a small island country with a rich and varied history. The course fulfills both history and multicultural general education requirements for all academic majors.

During the 5-week course, students will spend the first 2 weeks in the classroom learning about Irish history and Irish culture in preparation for their 3-week immersion experience. The Curriculum is centered on several aspects of Irish studies. Two core courses of three semester hours each are required of all participants. Core courses include Irish History and Multicultural Perspectives. Students study on a campus on the western coast of Ireland in Tullycross, County Galway. Students and two faculty members live in thatched-roof cottages.
