Santa Maria Maggiore

I witnessed a reenactment of Francis being brought before the mayor and the bishop for his stealing from his father.  My fellow pilgrims played the roles of Francis, his father, mother, the mayor and bishop. It is here that Francis stripped naked and renounced his father and committed to a life of poverty.
