Visiting the Vatican

We went to the Vatican this morning.  The beauty of the structure is breathtaking.  Our mass was in John the 23rd’s chapel.  He is entombed there and there is the beautiful fresco above him.  It was powerful to have our guide say the mass.

We toured the cathedral after mass.  The art work is, of course, quite beautiful.  My last visit the tour of the Vatican did not have the depth of Catholic history, so the was a richer experience.
