The Lourdes University College of Nursing offers Safe Sitter training for rising students in Grades 6-8.

Safe Sitter is a medically-oriented instruction series that teaches boys and girls ages 11-13 how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. The program offers actual hands-on training in the following areas:

  • basic lifesaving techniques
  • safety precaution to prevent accidents
  • how to activate the emergency system
  • tips on basic child care

 

Safe Sitter Classes: One-Time Training

Classes are held at Lourdes University, 6832 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania, Ohio in the Flasck Nursing Lab from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Parents or Guardian: Please complete the required paperwork and bring with you. On the day of Safe Sitter Training, please walk your child in between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. and provide the completed paperwork.

Lunch is provided along with a College of Nursing activity!

Class Limit: 12

Cost: $70

Refund & Cancellation Policy
In the event a participant cancels, is a no show or is unable or unwilling to reschedule, a $60 refund will be issued. If Lourdes cancels a class due to low enrollment, a full refund of $70 will be provided.
